This weekend we enjoyed celebrating with Sarah and Liam, who live in Egypt but decide on the beauty of Dartington Hall in Totnes to get married on Monday. Our good friend Mark from Evolve photography was their choice of photographer and having seen his picture, they look fantastic.

Thursday we travelled to the wonderful Polshawn Fort to help Stephanie and Jamie celebrate with 100 of their friends and family, a fantastic night of dancing with wonderful views, wonderful people and wonderful food.

On Friday Andy headed to Salcombe Harbour Hotel in Salcombe to provide the background lounge music for The Jetty Restaurant.

Then on Saturday Sam helped Deborah and Melvyn celebrate their wedding in Mary Tavy, along with a band which consisted of Melvyn's son.

Matt helped Louise celebrate her 50th birthday in a 1920's themed party at Boringdon Hall Hotel in Plymouth with some great dressing up (the guests, not Matt !)

Andy on Saturday he entertained the friends and family of Emma and Chris at Buckland Tout Saints Hotel in Kingsbridge. A real party was had, including some great fireworks, Nick was the toastmaster all day too, a higher recommended toastmaster too.

Gary was also working at Salcombe on Saturday evening, entertaining the customers who were enjoying a fantastic meal at The Jetty Restuarant.

On Friday 28th March we helped entertain the guests of Suzanne and Russell at The Deer Park Hotel, we were set by 1300hrs, and awaited their return from church. The rain held off just long enough for everyone to enjoy a fantastic day, including two songs sung by the bride on her hen night and recorded as a surprise

Sunday 9th and Monday 10th took me to Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire to attend the Promobile conference 2014. The Pro Mobile Conference was a unique opportunity for me to focus on my passion: DJing and Hosting weddings. Combining information packed keynote seminars, enlightening panel discussions and interactive group sessions, the Conference inspired. Much more than that, it provided an environment for new ideas to form, plans to be honed and new contacts to be made through focused networking.

The lead keynote speaker was Randy Bartlett:
One of the USA’s most recognised and sought-after speakers for the Wedding DJprofession, Randy Bartlett has presented his funny and educational seminars and workshops to standing room only crowds at conferences and DJ gatherings across the country. He’s the producer of the acclaimed 1% Solution series of seminars and DVDs, and is a member of the Wedding Entertainment Directors Guild™ and the ADJA. Since 1988, Randy has been the owner of Premier Entertainment in Sacramento, California. A full time entertainer, specialising in weddings, his referral based business has his clients paying him substantially above the rate of average DJs in his market. Prior to his career as a mobile DJ, he spent 15 years in sales, with 10 years in sales management and sales training. It was Randy's first time in the UK at the 2014 Pro Mobile Conference presenting the keynote seminar. It was a huge honour to have dinner with Randy and his wife Denise on Monday evening, the night before I stepped into the class room to partake and be critiqued in his workshop, The 1% solution.

Another Keynote speaker was Rob Brown:
Rob Brown is a world leading authority on business networking and high level connecting. He is the best selling author of ‘How to Build Your Reputation: The Secrets of Becoming the Go to Professional in a Crowded Marketplace’. Rob speaks all over the world on networking and referrals and, according to LinkedIn, he's the most recommended networking expert on the planet!

The special guest speaker this year was Mark Goodier:
Mark Goodier is one of the UK’s best known and most respected broadcasters and presenters. For over 30 years he has presented on national radio for the BBC and UK commercial radio. Mark was a regular presenter of Top of the Pops as well as the legendary Radio 1 Roadshow. Alongside Mark’s presentation career he has been one of the most in-demand voice over artists of the last 20 years, most notably as the voice of the world famous Now That’s What I Call Music series of albums.

The first day of the Conference came to an end with a three course networking dinner in the hotel Ballroom. This was the chance to enjoy a social evening in the company of like-minded colleagues as well as the Conference speakers. The second annual Pro Mobile Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by DJguard, was  presented during the Gala Dinner.
After dinner radio legend Mark Goodier  hosted a unique music quiz called 'The Chart - the only music quiz that counts!' This was a fully-interactive pop quiz which included a touch-pad technology for multiple choice game-play, The Chart gave everyone a chance to get involved. Featuring 10 rounds of music trivia including General Knowledge, Beat The Intro, In Reverse & At The Movies. Throughout the game Mark counted down The Chart to reveal who is number one… sadly it wasn't me :-(

A fabulous weekend of networking with like minded peers and learning new tricks to enhance my performance. I'm already looking forward to 2015's conference and putting my new skills into practice.

Firstly thank you for everyone who has confirmed their booking over the last couple of day. 16 of you at the last count have booked since the beginning of the week.
We have today also ordered some new lighting in our quest to make everything more compact and discreet for you without compromising on performance, all our lighting is now LED after the purchase of some more moving heads so we can display your monogram, initial or logo onto any surface, as these are computer controlled they can be set to any colour too.
For more information please give us a call for an informal chat.

After a busy weekend celebrating with three couples, having one wedding, one wedding commitment and one wedding anniversary we are now planning for Valentines Night with another wedding and we also have to set up our mood lighting at a restaurant to help with the atmosphere.

On Saturday we had a wedding commitment ceremony at The Deer Park Hotel for Diane and Rob, a lovely ceremony with the help of Lizzy May a fantastic electro cellist from London.
We also had a wedding anniversary at The Edgemoor Hotel in Bovey Tracey, again a great night with a hog roast and plenty of drinks!
The third function this last weekend was a wedding celebration at St Elizabeths House Hotel in Plymouth, a great night with a packed dance floor all night long.

Whilst working we also had a number of confirmations including Phil from Exmouth, Anja from London, Emily from Plymouth, Catherine from Exeter and Jenna from London. Our dates are filling up fast so please be quick if you would like to book with us.
